This little cutie was born at CP on November 15 2022. Her mama is Ruby who, along with her other beautiful daughter Rosie, arrived at CP in March 2022 (and unbeknownst to us) was pregnant! When Ruby's belly started to get bigger and bigger, we had a fairly good idea that she was indeed pregnant and thankfully after an amazingly quick and trouble-free birth little Cinnamon was born on a very cold and wet Tuesday afternoon in the warmth and comfort of our stable where we had been keeping a close watch on mama Ruby!
However, after a few hours it seemed our gorgeous little baby was having difficulty latching on to mum so after many attempts to help her we decided to take a midnight run to the amazing Avenel Equine Hospital!
Thankfully our early efforts to help her ensured she got the vital colostrum needed and her IgG levels were excellent! But baby needed to be on IV fluids and after a week of gold star care in hospital she was able to come home to CP where she has grown into a mischievous and hilarious little girl keeping all the volunteers on their toes!
