Casey was rescued in an urgent state from the saleyards. This old man arrived with pneumonia, a nasty eye ulcer, terrible dehydration and his poor old body was covered in wounds, bruises and swelling from a rough truck trip to the sales.
He also had a painful penetrating wound into his knee from falling on the truck. We got him through all his battles and he was living a very happy life of leisure. Casey very quickly earned the nickname "Teddy Bear". He was so soft and cuddly and would stand to be cuddled and brushed all day! After 8 months in care, Casey acutely developed displacement colic. He was in horrific pain and with his age, surgery was not an option. We were devastated to say goodbye to our Teddy Bear.
